摘 要:本研究在生成语法理论框架下,采用语法判断的方法 ,考察了母语为英语的留学生能否依据反身代词的形态句法规则指称汉语简单反身代词"自己"及复合反身代词"他自己"。研究结果显示,留学生的中介语语法没有遵循反身代词的形态句法规则,其母语(英语)对汉语反身代词的影响较大。母语促使他们成功习得构词形态上与母语反身代词相似的"他自己",但阻碍了他们习得构词形态上与其母语反身代词相异的"自己"。文章最后还探讨了研究结果对汉语二语教学的启示。The study employed a grammaticality judgment test to investigate whether the Chinese learners who are native English speakers could make use of the morpho-syntactic rule of reflexives to arrive at the correct interpretation of the simplex reflexive ziji (自己) and the complex reflexive taziji (他自己) in Chinese language. Two groups of learners at different Mandarin proficiency levels participated in the test, together with thirty Mandarin native speakers as the control group. It is found that the learners at higher proficiency were native-like in dealing with taziji (他自己), while the learners at both L2 proficiency levels failed to interpret ziji(自己) appropriately. It is revealed that the learners did not interpret the reflexives according to the morpho-syntactic rule encoded with them; rather their performance was subject to the transfer of mother tongue. Finally, the implications of the findings on second language teaching of Mandarin are discussed.
