摘　　要：艾米丽·勃朗特1847年出版的《呼啸山庄》被当时的英国评论界批评为一部"乱七八糟、拼拼凑凑、不成体统"的作品。然而,随着时光的流逝,《呼啸山庄》和她的作者却声名日增,备受人们青睐。现代主义的主题、象征手法、叙事技巧成为破解这部作品的经典的重要密码。In1847,Emily Bronte＇s Wuthering Heights was published.However it had been criticized by the British critics as a ＂mess,patchwork,utterly indecent＂ work.With the time going,Wuthering Heights and its author have been favored and interpreted by the people and the critics.The theme of modernism,symbolism,narrative techniques in this work have become important passwords when the people want to know why it is a modern classic.
