摘 要:胡塞尔对一般、本质的把握不同于传统的抽象,而是转换了思想的方法。通过悬置传统的认识理论和方法而"面向事物本身",利用直观来把握一般的本质。但是,这个方法仍然落入了历史的窠臼,在本质由个别直观向一般直观的过渡中遭遇"滑铁卢"。这是一个从柏拉图以来就存在的认识论上的千古难题。胡塞尔其后的哲学家们对本质直观也是隐忍不言甚至是放弃,虽然如此,包括本质直观在内的现象学的思想在西方仍产生了巨大的影响。Husserl's method of grasping the essence and commonness is different from the way of abstrac-ting in the history, but it is converted to the way of which suspends all the traditional theories and meth-ods to face the thing-in-itself and grasp the essence and commonness by the act of seeing. But the meth-od still fails like that essence is shifted from individual to general intuition in history. It's a historical ques-tion which hasn't been solved since Plato. Although the eidetic intuition is not talked about by the later philosophers even abandoned, phenomenological thoughts including it exert an important influence in the West.
