摘　　要：本文通过空间语言的要素来分析汉语与英语单词之间的语义差别。本文以汉语的"天桥"为例,通过对比其对应的英语单词,说明在空间语言的要素上英语与汉语存在差异,并提出翻译英汉对应单词时要回归理性,去除夸张。This paper discusses the difference between the counterparts for Chinese and English which is embodied with the difference between their spacial elements. Taking the Chinese word ＂Tian bridge＂ as an example, the author contrasts its coun- terparts in English and illustrates the differences between Chinese and English in their spacial elements, and suggests that it is necessary to be reasonable in Chinese - English word translation and remove exaggeration.
