“夏娃”的困境与抉择——吉尔摩的婚姻伦理观解读

摘　　要：作为澳大利亚一位德高望重的爱国主义诗人和政治改革家,玛丽·吉尔摩关于爱情与婚姻题材的诗歌通常不为人们所关注。为了更加全面地了解她的诗作,本文从文学伦理学批评的视角出发,通过解读这一题材的几首代表作,特别是"夏娃之歌"一诗中丈夫的伦理混乱、妻子的伦理困境和最终做出的伦理选择来探讨作者的婚姻伦理观:即幸福长久的婚姻不仅需要爱,更需要责任和包容,从而引发读者对婚姻伦理和构建和谐社会等问题的思考。A highly respected Australian patriotic poet and political reformer,Mary Gilmore did not arouse enough interest in the reader her poetry on love and marriage.In order to have a comprehensive understanding of her poetry,from the perspective of ethical literary criticism,this paper intends to explore the author’s concept of marriage reflected in some of her poems.The paper will pay particular attention to her poem ＂eve song＂a husband’s ethical chaos,a wife’s ethical dilemma and choice.It discloses that a happy marriage is not only based on love but responsibility and tolerance.Eve song calls on the readers’to reflect on problems related to marriage ethics and the construction of a more harmonious society.
