通过三重人格结构学说分析《天边外》的悲剧根源

摘　　要：《天边外》是尤金·奥尼尔的早期成名作。悲剧一直是他作品的主要形式,《天边外》也不例外。而在奥尼尔的很多剧作中,都能看到弗洛伊德思想理论的烙印。弗洛伊德的精神分析理论对奥尼尔拓宽创作思路、加深作品表现力都有非凡的影响。运用弗洛伊德的精神分析理论,分析分别代表三重人格——自我、本我和超我——的三位主人公的悲剧命运,揭示《天边外》的悲剧根源。Beyond the Horizon is the first important long play of Eugene O＇Neill.Most of his plays are tragedies,so is Beyond the Horizon.Besides,the theory of Freud had branded his plays for life.The theory of psychoanalysis broadened his view of composition and deepened the expressive force.Employing Freud theory of psychoanalysis could analyze the tragic fate of the three protagonists,who stand for the three levels of personality——id,ego,and superego.And then it can lead to the root of tragedy.
