摘　　要：应用型本科是高等教育分类体系中的一个重要类型。中心城市本科院校以培养适应地方需要的应用型人才为根本任务,是实施应用型本科教育的主体。然而,受我国高等教育分类行政主导、纵向分层的影响,中心城市本科院校在发展中存在行政依附性强、办学模式雷同、层次定位偏高、人才培养学术化等问题。明确中心城市本科院校的应用型发展定位,有助于中心城市本科院校健康、主动发展,形成精英与大众高等教育协调发展的良好局面。Applied undergraduate education is one key component of higher education system. The under-graduate colleges’ and universities’ key task is to cultivate applied talents to meet local demands. However,Influenced by China’s higher education classified administrative orientation and vertical layers, problems suchas strong administrative reliance, resembling school-running modes and relatively high positioning have existedin the development of undergraduate colleges and universities in cities. Identifying the position of the appliedundergraduate colleges and universities in central cities will facilitate the healthy and active growth of under-graduate colleges and universities. Hence a harmonious development environment both for elite education andmass education will be built.
