摘　　要：大类招生作为一种全新的人才培养模式,正逐步被各大高校所采用。材料科学基础是材料类专业的一门重要专业基础课,该门课程的特点是内容多、理论性强,涉及的理论知识比较复杂、抽象。针对这些特点,本文结合武汉工程大学材料科学与工程学院按大类招生的实际,对材料科学基础课程进行了一系列教学改革,提高了该课程教学质量和效果。Enrollment with categories is generally accepted by most colleges and universities in China. Foundation of Materials Science is one of the most important basic courses for the stu- dents in materials major. In this course, the content is plentiful, the theoretical knowledge is difficult complicated. According to these characteristics and the fact that enrollment with categories of School of Materials Science and Engineering, Wuhan Institute of Technology, a series of reform in education in the course of Foundation of Material Science are conducted. The teaching qualities and teaching effects are improved.
