摘　　要：英语在全球范围的传播进程中产生了变异,成为不同国家多元文化交流的载体。具有地域文化特色的世界英语变体给语言研究和应用带来了新思考。本文从教学目标、教学内容和教学评价三个方面探讨世界英语变体发展对英语教学的启示,认为我国英语教学应该:(1)重视英语不同变异形式的介绍;(2)了解全球文化和本土文化的价值观差异;(3)培养学生理解和使用语言变体的跨文化交际能力。The spread of English worldwide has developed many different non - native varieties of English （＂ world Engli- shes＂ ）. English, with its varieties, has become an effective medium in cross-cultural communications. Based on the introduction to new pedagogical concepts emerging from the reality of world Englishes, this paper discusses the implications of world Englishes for English Language Teaching （ELT） and proposes in the context of teaching English in China： （ 1 ） ELT should take in account the differences among various English varieties; （2） the values of global and nativized cultures should be equally respected; （3） the students＇ practical skills in using English varieties should be cultivated in order to increase their cross-culture communication competences.
