摘　　要：研究图书馆社会责任对推动图书馆学理论的深入研究和图书馆社会责任实践的广泛开展具有重要价值。近年来，图书馆社会责任研究逐渐成为图书馆界关注的新领域之一，也逐渐对图书馆社会责任形成了共识。本文对美国图书馆协会和我国图书馆界开展的社会责任活动概略地进行了介绍，针对我国图书馆事业的现状，对我国图书馆界应承担的社会责任进行了积极探索，提出了参考性建议。参考文献12。It is of great value for the promotion of library theory researches and the practice of social responsibility to study the social responsibility of library. In recent years, the social responsibility study of library has gradually become a new field of the library world, and also gradually reached a consensus on the social responsibility of library. This paper briefly introduced the social responsibility activities carried out by the American Library Association and Chinese library world, undertook active exploration and put forward referential suggestions for the social responsibility Chi- nese library world should bear in view of the current situation of the library cause. 12 Refs.
