摘　　要：Phacoemulsification with intraocular lens （IOL） implantation has become the most widely acceptedand effective surgery for cataract patients. Although progress in this technique has greatly reduced surgery-related complications, visual acuity can be substantially compromised in certain circumstances, postoperatively. Cystoid macular edema （CME） is one of the most common complications and needs special attention.Phacoemulsification with intraocular lens （IOL） implantation has become the most widely acceptedand effective surgery for cataract patients.
