摘　　要：非真实性话语是日常生活中常见的语言表达方式。从语用学的角度,运用Verschueren的顺应论,在具体实例的基础上分析和研究非真实性话语在经典文学作品《小世界》中是如何顺应人物的社交世界、心理世界和物质世界的。Deception is a common phenomenon in our daily life. This article tries to analyze the application of DEC in the classical novel Small World with the help of detailed examples from pragmatic perspective via Verschueren＇ s theory of adaptation. And with the pragmatic study of this DEC, the article attempts to help the readers get a deeper and better appreciation of the characters and their nature in this classical novel.
