摘　　要：白蛇传是中国古代民间四大传说之一,故事历经千年演变,人物的性格和面貌也随之渐变。作为主要人物之一的法海由最初替天行道的得道高僧逐渐变成面目狰狞惹人讨厌的糟老和尚,而到了现代则被赋予了更多的人性色彩。法海的形象由单一的扁平人物变成复杂的圆形人物,演变背后体现了文学表现形式对于人物形象塑造的重要影响;反映了广大民众的感性心理,而这种心理则印证了艺术和现实的差距;同时也证实了民间文学永恒的生命力,从中还可以看出民间文学和作家文学的相互影响。Madam White Snake is one of the four folklores in ancient China, and her story has developed for about one thousand years, together with the characteristics of its key figures. Fa Hal, one of the main characters in the folktale, has been described from a righteous Buddhist monk to an awful, unpleasant one, who in modern times has been given more and more colorful human nature. The changed image from a single one into a complicated one embodies the great influence of literary expressing forms on the modeling of character image, which also represents common people＇s perceptual psychology, verifies the disparity between art and reality, and demonstrates the everlasting vitality of folklore, and the obvious mutual influence between folklore and authorial literature.
