摘　　要：教育的使命是人的养成,让人成为人,变得完整,这本是教育的应有之义。然而,当前中国大学教育却是以"成才教育"为名的"技能教育",究其实乃是"功利教育"。柏拉图的圆球人寓言可以为我们提供教益,它与中西古典教育的论说相一致,活生生地展现了教育的成人理念,表明经典阅读乃是教育的主要门径。The end of education ＇s to cultivate human and make human be complete. That is the essence of education. But now, the education in Chinese universities am full of skill education which have a name ＂specialist education＂, in essence, it is an ＂utilitarian education＂ . Through the fable of Plato＇s Spheric human, the article makes use of the thought of classic education in Chinese and Western, reassert the idea of cultivating human, and insist that reading the classics is the main way fore education.
