摘  要:从"译"到"翻译"之间动态推衍,发生了指代转移和内涵扩大——从指代职衔转移到指代不同语言之间的转换活动,从起初专指民族语言之间的翻译发展到指称胡语或梵语与汉语之间的佛经翻译,直至当下翻译一词内蕴三义,即语内翻译、语际翻译、符际翻译。概念内涵的演化表明"翻译"这一能指符号一直处于动态发展之中,是一个受制于语言转换主题和诗学观念制约、不断建构的话语实践。"译"、"出"、"翻"、"翻译"这些一脉相连、彼此呼应的词语组成了钱锺书所说的"虚涵数意",打开了阐释翻译意义的空间,释放出巨大的能量,也昭示了中国传统翻译理论强大的生命力。Two phenomena, i.e, anaphora shift and connotation enlargement become conspicuous during the evolvement of "translators" into "translation". To be specific, anaphora shift refers to the fact that "Translator" originally referring to an official title, is used to denote the transformation between two different languages; connotation enlargement refers to the fact that "Yi", which confined to denote the transformation between different ethnic groups of ancient China at beginning, and then to the Buddha translation has come to incorporate three meanings, i.e, intralingual translation, interlingual translation and intersemiotic translation. The fact shows that the signified of translation is a discursive practice, which is in constant change and restricted by language transformation in question and the poetic notion of that time. "Translator", "Emanation", "Translating" and "translation" are coordinated intimately and tied up with one another. This explanation opens up new space for the meaning explanation of translation, and indicates the great vitality of traditional Chinese translation theory.
