概念整合视角下双关式新闻标题的汉译探析

摘　　要：双关语是英语新闻标题中一种较为常见的修辞手段。然而,因在转化语言结构和表达上存在着难以逾越的障碍,如何汉译双关式标题成为翻译中的一个难点。从概念整合理论的视角探求双关式英语标题的翻译策略,论证了该理论在双关语翻译这一认知动态思维过程中的指导力,为相关的翻译实践铺平了道路。Punning is one of the most common rhetorical devices used in English headlines. Yet a pun＇s double meanings and special modes of expression make its translation a tough job. This paper studies the feasibility of translating puns based on Con- ceptual Blending Theory and, with explicit elaboration, concludes that such a cognitive theory can be extremely helpful during the course of translation.
