摘　　要：回声性是元语言比较区别于一般等级比较的主要特征,据此,元语言比较的句法形态、语义等方面的特殊表现才能得到统一解释。元语言比较的回声性能从语篇上得到证明,在真实语料中,能够从较为完整的上下文中提取到元语言比较的回声来源;此外,在英语之外的一些语言(中、日、韩)中,元语言比较的专有词汇都包含了言说动词,这为回声性提供了跨语言证据。Metalinguistic comparative distinguishes itself from the ordinary degree comparative by its echoic nature, therefore a unified basis can be obtained, on which a variety of special appearances, either syntactic and morphological ones or semantic ones, can be explained. The echoic nature of metalinguistie comparative finds its evidence in discourse. The source of echo can be identified in a relatively complete context in natural discourse; additionally, metalinguistie comparative in some languages other than English contains verbal words, which supports the echoic nature with cross-linguistic evidence.
