摘　　要："五湖四海"用人思想是中国共产党在长期革命战争实践中探索形成的。正是由于在干部任用上坚持五湖四海、任人唯贤原则,坚持用人不分地域、不论亲疏、不搞宗派、一视同仁,我们党才能在民主革命时期从者云集,四海归心,我们的军队才能在敌我力量对比悬殊的条件下愈战愈勇,最终解放全中国。回顾这段历史,对于在新时期新形势下,如何真正把优秀人才集聚到中国特色社会主义建设的伟大事业中来,具有现实指导意义。The principle of Wuhusihai, which means to draw people from all backgrounds, comes from the Party＇s prolonged struggles during the revolutionary period. Adhering to the principle of selecting cadres by merits rather than by birth places, kinships and sectarians, the Party accumulated a great number of personnel during the democratic revolution period. It also saw its military forces, outnumbered first by its enemies, snowballing rapidly and liberating the whole nation at last. History affords us lessons that merit attention： How to motivate quality people to get in the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
