摘　　要：考状亦称考牒,是以人为单位按年度记录官员功过行能及考绩等第的文书。考状除了上报尚书省保存在吏部考功甲历库作为人事档案备查之外,也发给官员个人,作为考绩的证明材料。考课范围包括内外文武职事官、流外官、卫官,考课结果作为官员叙阶、升迁、奖惩和依法治罪的依据。Checking Documents was the papers in which putting merits, errors, behaviours and abilities of the officials. The documents should be reported to the central government as personal files and issued to officials as certificate of check. The scope of check included the civilian and military officials both central and local, the substandard officials and guarding officials. The record of check was the basis of rank steps, going up officials grade, reward and punishments, passsentence.
