摘　　要：美国女子高校是美国多样化高等教育中的重要力量,对美国女性高等教育的发展起着很大的推动作用。尽管女子高校的数量和规模无法与美国一流研究型大学分庭抗礼,但其历史影响和社会作用却毫不逊色。本文以韦尔斯利学院为例,对美国女子学院的办学特色和发展之道做一分析。Abstract：The type of women＇s colleges and universities is an important part among various types of higher education institutions in America and it plays a forceful role to American women＇s higher education. Although as for the number and scale,women＇s colleges and universities cannot stand up equally to first-class research uni- versities, their historical influence and social function are not inferior to them. This thesis takes Wellesley College as an example and analyzes the running characteristics and development paths of women＇s colleges and universi- ties.
