摘　　要：州牧乃地方之父母官,职掌一州之军政大事。白鹤梁题刻有不少任官涪陵的涪州牧,钩稽其行迹,不仅有助于我们了解其生平,而且可以管窥其治政,理解其对地方社会经济文化的重大影响。Zhoumu was the governor in charge of military and political affairs of a local prefecture in Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. A number of Zhoumus were recorded in Baiheling inscriptions and carvings. A study of them will not only help us know of their life experience, but also enable us to review their administration and understand their influences on the local society, economy and culture.
