摘　　要：在中国由近代向现代的历史转折中,蔡元培为推进我国的美学和美育的发展尤其是美育事业,着力最多,影响最广,作用最大。他特别重视把美学教育和美感教育结合起来,创建了自成特色的美育学说。蔡元培的美育精神在新时代应该发扬。它启发我们进一步深思美育的使命,推进美育的实施,拓展美育的途径。CAI Yuan-pei played a pivotal role in promoting aesthetics and aesthetic education in China during the transitional period of modem Chinese history. His theory, which aims at fusing aesthetic education and the cultivation of aesthetic feeling, is highly original. It was extremely influential in his time and is still relevant today. It is a source of inspiration for us when we reflect on the aesthetic cultivation and try to put it into practice.
