摘　　要：本文以"身体政治"为切入点,分析著名华裔美国女作家汤亭亭的文学巨著《中国佬》中的男性主题。作者将男性问题作为多重主题中的重中之重,以各种叙事策略说明他们不是"被阉割"的牺牲品,而是富有阳刚之气的男子汉。这种鲜明的男性主题,既批评了华人被视为"女性化他者"的偏见,也构建出新型的华人民族形象,彰显出作品深刻的文化政治意义。The relationship between body and identity is a recurrent theme in Maxine Hong Kingston＇s China Men. This essay discusses how Chinese American mascu- linity is reconstructed in the novel. It opines that Kingston＇s portrayal of Chinese American masculinity contests derogatory images of Chinese American men as ＂emasculated＂ vic- tims, thereby providing insight into the gender dimension of an Orientalist discourse. It is argued that China Men reveals profound cultural politics.
