摘 要:在视觉文化冲击下,基于经典文学文本改编的电影制品开始被大量地引介到高等院校的英美文学课堂上。作为文学课程教学的一种辅助手段,文学电影所独有的跨学科、视觉化、听觉化等特点,可以使传统、枯燥的课堂变得丰富多彩、生动有趣,从而激发学生学习兴趣,开阔视野,拓展思路;但培养学生解读英文原著能力的教学目的以及英美文学教学中课时严重不足的现实限制了以影像为核心的经典电影在文学课堂上的无限利用。本着"扬""弃"并重的原则,在教学中,要依据英美文学特质并摘取经典电影的精华部分,结合有度以达最佳教学效果为根本,大胆创新以积极探索新的教学模式。Under the background of visual culture,more and more movies adapted from classical literature are introduced into the teaching of English and American literature. These movies have such features as interdiseiplinarity, visualization and auditorization. As a teaching aid, they do change the traditional English and American Literature class from dullness to richness;thereupon the students' interests in studies have been stimulated,their eyes opened up and thinking expanded.Nevertheless,both the teaching p~ of cultivating students' ability to appreci- ate original English works and the reality that teaching hours are strictly limited hinder the movies from being widely used in the class. In line with the principle of equality between preserving and abandoning,teachers of English and American literature should try to use innovative and effective approaches in class to improve teaching quality combining the class' traits with the movies' features.
