摘　　要：英语的典型特点就是静态表达。英语的静态表达源于西方文化。英语静态表达的表现形式主要有名物化,介词优势,动词的弱化与虚化,等等。英语静态表达的特点揭示了英语在表达法方面的特性,对翻译实践有很大参考价值。掌握了英语静态表达的特点,译者就能灵活地在两种语言之间进行转换,使译文更加地道准确,通达晓畅。Compared with Chinese, English has many characteristics, namely, hypotactic, imperson- al, passive, static, abstract, substitutive, and so forth. As a matter of fact, these traits of English language are interrelated and interact on each other. The paper intends to investigate the static charac- teristic of English language. By means of contrastive to discuss the preponderance of static expressions in ous forms and pedagogical implications analysis, the current paper represents an attempt English, its motivations, representations in vari- in English writing and translation.
