摘　　要：桐城文化是明清时期孕发于安徽桐城境内具有独特性、典型性及很高学术价值性地方文化现象之总和。桐城文化中民本思想主要体现在桐城先贤为政勤勉,居官清廉,与民谋利;在为政方面,他们强调君主及仕宦要以民为本,善政养民,恤民济困,足民食用;他们在其为政实践中兴利除弊,愍念民瘼,与民休息;他们颂赞商民,鼓吹营商,主张保民保商、经济富民。Tongcheng culture refers to the local cultures in Tongcheng city Anhui Province which are distinctive and characteristic with high academic value, can be found originating from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The people-oriented thought in Tongcheng culture can be found in the facts that the officials are diligent and rectitude, trying providing welfare to the people. In political administration, they emphasize that the rulers should regard the people as the foundation, being kind to support them, helping the poor, making them well-fed. In the practice, they abide by such thoughts, and praise and advocate business activities to enrich the people.
