摘　　要：采自贵州省水城县凤凰乡的一种大形角蟾 ,因其外部形态与角蟾属Megophrys已知种有一些特异之处 ,尤其是鼓膜显露 ;上颌内缘无栉齿状突 ;头后部有由痣粒组成的“”形棕褐色斑 ;背部痣纹呈“”形 ;有犁骨棱 ;雄性无声囊等特征与大花角蟾M .gigantica明显不同。据此认为该角蟾为一新种 ,定名水城角蟾MegophrysshuichengensisTian ,GuetSun ,sp .nov .。A new species of Amphibia, Pelobatidae, Megophrys was discovered in April to July, 1994 1997, in Shuicheng County of Guizhou Province. The type specimens are kept in Department of Biology of Liupanshui Teachers' Higher College. Megophrys shuichengensis Tian,Gu et Sun, sp.nov. (Figs.1 2, Tables 1 2) Holotype.No.944001, an adult female; type locality: Fenghuang Village, Shuicheng County (26°34′N,104°51′E),Guizhou Province; altitude 1?850?m, collected by TIAN Ying Zhou on Apr. 30, 1994. Allotype.No.945004, an adult male, collected at the same locality as that of the holotype, by TIAN Ying Zhou on May 22, 1994. Paratypes. 6♀♀,7♂♂,34 tadpoles and 10 larvae,collected by TIAN Ying Zhou in Fenghuang Village of Shuicheng County, Guizhou Province,altitude 1?850 1?870?m, from Apr. to Jul., 1994 1997 . Diagnosis.The new species Megophrys shuichengensis sp.nov.and the M.gigantica are very alike, but the tympanum of the new species is obvious; there is no tooth like tubercles in the maxillary's margin; there is a brown stripe which look like“[FK(W+3mm。3mm][TPP1,+3mm。3mm,BP#]”that is made up by granules on the back part of the head, and the granules dotted on the back look like“[FK(W+3mm。3mm][TPP2,+3mm。3mm,BP#]”.The male has no vocal sac. All of these make it to be quite different from the M.gigantica, of which the tympanum is under its skin, that has some tooth like tubercles in the maxillary's margin, and that has some irregular stripes scattered on the back of the head. Moreover,the male has a pair of internal gular vocal sacs. The major difference between the new species and Megophrys shapingensis is that the latter has no tympanum, the subarticular tubercles of the second finger is obvious, that the color of the back of the body and the limbs of M.shapingensis is green grey, and that M.shapingensis has cutin thorns on the back of the thigh and belly. Karyotype. The Karyotype of Megophrys shuichengensis is the pattern 5+8. No.4
