摘　　要：本文总结当前国内外鲁棒设计的研究成果，介绍并评述各种鲁棒设计方法，提出在工程结构设计中运用该方法的设想．算例表明结构鲁棒设计的优越性，并展望在船舶结构设计中应用的前景．The recent research results on robust design are reviewed and some robust design methodsare introduced as well. Robust design for structures is proposed firstly. A truss structural exampleshows that this new method is much better than current design method. The prospect of this methodfor ship hull structures is also predicted.
