摘　　要：本文以Kress和van Leeuwen提出的视觉语法为理论基础,对中英媒体报道奥运会圣火采集仪式时使用图像的情况进行多模态语篇分析,揭示中英媒体在这一事件的报道中体现的不同意识形态。分析表明,通过图像制造者在向量、接触、距离、视角、信息值、显著性和框架等方面的加工,图像已不再具有简单的再现意义、互动意义和构图意义,而是成为媒体表达其意识形态意义的一种方式。Applying Kress and van Leeuwen＇ s Visual Grammar to a muhimodal discourse analysis of images about the Olympic torch lighting ceremony, this paper attempts to reveal the ideologies hidden in the Chinese and British media. It is found that the media agents, by means of vector, contact, distance, perspective, information value, salience, and framing, have extended the images from their representative meaning, interactional meaning and compositional meaning to a way of expressing their ideologies.
