摘 要:西方现代艺术自发轫之初到现在已有一百多年的时间,但对中国的接受者来说似乎还只是一个"熟悉的陌生人",缺乏对其价值内涵的认同。20世纪初,西方现代艺术在西方文化的界定中作出了重要的贡献,了解这段艺术产生的历史不仅是我们打开现代艺术之门的钥匙,也是理解后现代艺术的重要参照。本文尝试从艺术史的角度切入,还原20世纪初西方现代艺术产生的文化语境,以引起大家对其在悖逆传统观念和艺术表现形式中所体现出的美学更新与社会改革要求的关注。It has been more than 100 years since the beginning of the Western modern art to the present time. But for the Chinese re- cipients , who are lacking of the recognition of its value connotation, it just seems like a "familiar stranger". The Western mod- ern art in the early 20th century has made an important contribution to the definition of the Western culture. To understand the art history of this period provides not only the key to opening the door of modern art, but also serves as an important reference to the understanding of the postmodern art. By reconstructing the cultural context of Western modern art in the early 20th Century, this article attempts to arouse the public attention to aesthetic reorientation and social reform from the perspective of art history, which is embodied in its deviation from the traditional concepts and forms of expression.
