摘　　要：高职英语教学应以就业为导向。在这个方针指导下,高职英语应以学生及社会需求为立足点,加上高职英语课时普遍有限,使得主客观上基础英语和职业英语都不再可能成为独立的两个教学阶段。本文就如何确保二者自然融合,对其中所涉及的几个要素展开细化的研究和讨论,旨在开发出具有高职特色的英语课程模式和提高高职毕业生的就业砝码。English teaching in college of technology is career-ori-ented. Guided by this principle, college English is supposed to based on students＇ and society＇s needs, plus limited periods of learning English in college, which make it impossible for general English and vocational English carried out separately in different periods. This paper aims at specifying and discussing several key factors ensuring the success of cohesion of general English and vocational English, which will usher in a new and effective model of English teaching and improve students＇ employment prospects.
