摘　　要：本文从发挥自身优势,服务社会发展的角度,论述了我国高校图书馆良好的现代社会形象的建树问题。提出高校图书馆是高校的,更应是社会的这一鲜明观点,并进而论述了高校图书馆现代社会形象的内涵和现代化社会形象的几点重要举措。文章极力主张高校图书馆走出围墙内的象牙之塔,通过努力力争得到社会认知、认可,并进而走向社会、服务社会。This paper discusses the achievements ofmodern social image problems of our countries＇ college library from the respect of social development. It presents the distinctive point of view that university library belongs both to the university and society, and discusses modern connotations and the social image of the university library. The article urged that the uni- versity library should go out of the ivory tower, to get social cognition, recognition, and to society, to serve the community through efforts.
