摘　　要：译者的生活经历与生活哲学决定了其对源语文本的取舍和对于翻译策略的选择。林语堂,作为一个优秀的译者,同时也是一个出色的作家,在他用英文创作的小说《京华烟云》和他翻译的沈复的《浮生六记》中,都完美地体现了他的价值导向。A translator＇s life experience and philosophy determines his acceptance and rejection for the source text and his selec- tion for strategies. LIN Yutang, as both an excellent translator and an outstanding writer, perfectly reveals his value orientation in his English novel Moment in Peking and his translation work Six Chapters of a Floating LitE written by SHEN Fu.
