摘　　要：《中国翻译词典》是我国翻译界普遍公认的权威词典,为我国翻译事业的发展做出了巨大贡献,但其中也有一些引用错误,许多学者误将《词典》中"中国翻译大事记"首条作为中国有文字记载的最早译事来引用,这是不当的。本文通过引用史料对《诗经》的搜集、整理、复原和西汉时匈奴与汉人译事的阐述记载,说明中国最早译事有文字记载的至少也应上溯至公元前11世纪《诗经》的搜集与整理。While universally accepted as an authoritative dictionary, and contributing a lot to the building of Chinese translation science, A Companion for Chinese Translators also betrays some immatu- rity, such as wrongly cited as the earliest written translation activity and so on. Through expounding the process of collecting, arranging and restoration of The Book of Songs, and translation activities be- tween Hun and the Han people in Western Han Dynasty, this essay tends to illustrate that the earliest written translation activity should be at least from the collecting of The Book of Songs, and at the same time, it makes some enlightenment on dictionary compilation.
