摘　　要：翻译教学需要围绕工作任务而展开,注重信息交流。文章对高职院校翻译教学的现状进行了分析,并提出任务导向型英语翻译教学新模式,以任务为导向,以学生为中心的任务导向型教学模式,能提高学生翻译能力,符合高职高专的教育规律。Translation teaching should center on the tasks and focus on the information communications. This paper analyzes the current situation of higher vocational colleges translation teaching, and indicates traditional translation teaching can not reflect higher vocational colleges feature and is out of line with the goal and requirement of practical English talents training, then puts forward that task - based English trans- lation teaching is based on the tasks, centered on the students, which can improve the students＇translating abilities and accord with the rules of higher vocational college education.
