摘　　要：儒家伦理的核心价值在于为专制统治提供思想基础,生长不出自由民主平等的理性精神。随着社会生产方式的彻底变革,从传统家长制政治走向现代民主政治,传统儒家伦理道德体系更新为现代自由平等的新道德体系,同样是中国社会转型中新陈代谢的必然。中国的现代化目标并不照搬西方模式和东亚模式,而是充分体现世界现代文明与中国优秀传统文化的融合创新。在当代社会里,继续以儒家伦理道德体系为社会行为规范标准,显然是不合适的。The core of the Confucian ethics is to lay the ideological foundation for autocracy, and thus it can＇t breed the rational consciousness of freedom, democracy and equality. Along with the thorough revolution of socialized production modes, in the process of the transformation of the Chinese society, it has been inevitably that paternalism would be transformed into modern democracy and the traditional Confucian ethic system would be replaced by the moral system of freedom and equality. The modernization of China is no imitation of the Western or East Asian models. Instead, it will fully reflect the fusion of the global modem civilization and the essence of the traditional Chinese culture. In the contemporary society, it is obviously improper to take the Confucian ethics as the norm of social conduct.
