摘　　要：心中无爱,美便不可能。与其抽象地讨论美是什么,不如呵护并培养人的爱美之心。"爱美之心人皆有之"的"爱",并非情感,而是人的一种能力,是人之为人的根本所系。这种具有本源意义的爱,是绝对的。我们通常所谓的爱恨辩证法,所谈的其实是主观好恶,而不是爱。There is no beauty without love. Rather than discuss beauty in abstract terms, we should foster and nurture man＇s propensity for beauty. The ＂love＂ in the dictum ＇everyone is endowed with a love for beauty＇ is not a sentiment, but a power that determines our humanity. This love which is the ultimate source of everything else is absolute. The love-hate dialectics we ordinarily employ applies only to our subjective likes and dislikes, not to love.
