摘　　要：申先甲教授于1961年毕业于北京师范学院物理系,并留校任教.受时任系主任孙念台先生的直接影响,从1978年起他开始从事物理学史的教学与研究.申先甲教授积极耕耘,努力创新.他建设硕士点,创造"潜科学"学,创办《潜科学》杂志,编著出版学术丛书及著作二十余部,为物理学史的学科建设和专业发展作出了重要贡献.Professor SHEN Xian-jia graduated from and became a teacher at the Department of Physics of Beijing Normal Univerity in 1961. Under the influence of SUN Nian-tai, the then-dean of the department, SHEN took up the teaching and research of the history of physics. With his dedication and innovation, he founded the ＂science of potential science＂ and the journal named Potential Science . His academic series and monographs which numbered more than 20 have made significant contribution to the establishment and development of the discipline of history of physics.
