The short poem of This Is Just to Say by Williams seems to be only a note with breaking writing. Although it does not mean that poetry has no difference with spoken language but breaking writing, we should have been aware of the importance of breaking writing. As to the technical significance of breaking writing, it is demonstrated upon the function of psychological suggestion from breaking writing, which makes readers plunge into reading with excited feelings. As to the spiritual essence of breaking writing, it means that our factual living world solidified by cultural conventions is pushed back to its original phase with a good sense of stretching. Among these two significances, the later has more essential value, with which poetry writing gains and keeps its life and spirit.
