摘　　要：地方志是研究中国历史的重要资源,不仅国内学者非常重视,国外汉学家也是我国方志的大用户。加拿大汉学家卜正民是研究明清社会经济史的著名学者,著述颇丰,其著述对中国方志钟爱有加,方志编纂者以及方志中有关宗教、社会、经济等内容都是卜正民著作选取的视角或资料来源。Local records are important sources for research of Chinese history.Local records are greatly valued not only by Chinese scholars,but also by sinologists from abroad who are major clients of Chinese local records.Canadian sinologist Timothy Brook is a famous scholar in the research of social economic history of Ming and Qing Dynasty with a great many published works.His works take a particular liking to Chinese local records.Contents related to local records compilers and religion,society,and economy are all perspectives or sources of reference materials for Timothy Brook's works.
