摘　　要：徐雁(秋禾)因身体力行"大阅读"理念而著称阅读界,2009年被《中国新闻出版报》推介为当年度全国四位"国民阅读积极推动者"之一,与北京大学王余光教授并称为阅读推广界的"北王南徐"。本文首次梳理秋禾"大阅读"理念的发展历程,评述每一发展阶段的重要著述。Xu Yan （Qiu He） is famous in China＇s reading community for his practice of ＂General Read- ing＂. He was selected as one of the four ＂Active Promoters of National Reading＂ by China Press and Publishing Journal in 2009. And he and Wang Yuguang from Peking University are often referred to as ＂the Wang in Northern China and the Xu in Southern China＂ of the reading promotion community. The present article describes the development of his concept of ＂General Reading＂ for the first time and makes comments on his main works in each stage of its development.
