摘　　要：Halliday建构系统功能语法的目的之一是为语篇分析提供理论框架。本文拟从韩礼德的三大语言纯理功能入手,分析美国总统林肯的《葛底斯堡演说》,以期证明系统功能语法在英文演说文体分析中的可操作性及可应用性;同时本文讨论了系统功能语法在外语教学中的指导意义。Halliday＇s systemic functional grammar has been extensively applied to the analysis of texts of various genres. This paper attempts to take the three recta-functions as analytical framework to analyze the well-known Gettysburg Address addressed by the 16th American President Abraham Lincoln. It is to test the applicability of systemic functional linguistics. Meanwhile, this paper indicates the positive impact of systemic functional grammar on foreign language teaching.
