摘　　要：通过文献检索及对比分析,为评价科研立项、成果鉴定、专利申请、技术引进等的创新性提供文献依据的科技查新,是目前高校图书馆由信息服务转向知识服务的重要表现。查新员作为这项工作的主体,发挥着举足轻重的作用。改变传统管理方式,建立科学有效的激励机制,不断激发查新员的工作积极性,对提高科技查新工作质量和水平起着重要支撑作用。Science and technology novelty Retrieval（STNR）is one kind of consultative work to evaluate the innovation of the potential research event through the relative literature searches and analysis.STNR shifts the role of library from the traditional information offer to the knowledge service.The abundant knowledge is needed for the novelty searchers to engage STNR.The novelty searchers play a very important role and are the main part in the STNR.Therefore,it is necessary to establish a scientific and effective motivating mechanism by changing the traditional management of library for promoting the novelty searchers,thus to improve the level of STNR.
