摘 要:传统侦探小说的兴起与现代知识观的确立有着密切关系。依靠侦探的经验分析和缜密推理找出真相,这种常见的侦探叙事结构正是理性主义的体现。随着现代知识观及方法论基础成为被质疑的对象,以福尔斯的《奇想》为代表的反侦探小说应运而生。通过在叙事结构和主题上戏仿经典侦探小说,《奇想》揭示了传统侦探小说所笃信的理性至上原则的虚妄与局限。联系福尔斯对于艺术功能的一贯主张来进行分析,小说中的神秘色彩也可以得到更合理的解释。The rise of traditional detective novel in the 19 th century had a close relationship with the formation of modern epistemology as well as its methodological foundation.The classical detective narrative that revolves around the detective's application of his rationality in pursuit of the truth is the embodiment of rationalism.When the modern epistemology and its methodological foundation became the target of suspicion,however,anti-detective story,represented by Fowles's A Maggot,began to arise as a consequence.With its structural as well as thematical parody of classical detective novel,A Maggot endeavors to expose the limitation and fabrication of its much-flaunted rationalism.In light of Fowles's viewpoint about the function of artistic creation,we can bring out a better explanation of the mysteries in the novel.
