《荀子》中“学”的意涵及现代启示

摘　　要：以"化性起伪而从善"为基本论说语境的"学"是《荀子》中的重要范畴。它的深刻意涵体现在以下几方面:以成为圣人为目标,其本质是成就道德生命;以先王遗言为内容,并分为"数"和"义"两个层次;以"近人"、"隆礼"为方法且注重交流;以"为己"、"不已"、"贵专"、"贵全"为原则;以"虚壹而静"为基本态度。此外,《荀子》中的"学"本身就蕴含了"行"——实践,并且离不开环境的作用。它给予我们的启示是:要德智兼修,重视道德之学,以此消减当代大学价值教育式微所带来的弊端;要学以致用,讲求研修方法,藉以改变当代大学生学无方向且缺乏效率之困局;要虚壹而静,端正学习态度,从而树立学习也是修身并终生坚持不懈的理念。'Study' is the important part in Xunzi,which can change one’s nature and make people become kind as the basic context of discourse.The profound meaning of the study is reflected as the following aspects: its goal is to be a saint and its essence is to achieve the moral life;its content is the old kings’ words and to be divided into the levels of 'Number' and 'Justice';its important methods are personal experience and respect for etiquette moral;its principles are to their own,persistent,concentration and pure;its attitude is to open mind,concentrate and mediation.Meanwhile,'study' in Xunzi contains the 'action'-practice,and cannot be separated from the environment.In conclusion,we can get some inspiration from Xunzi.First,we should study the morality and intelligence at the same time,and emphasis on moral learning so as to abate the shortage of the value education in the contemporary universities.Second,we should practice what we have learned and pay attention to learning methods,thus change the dilemma of contemporary college students’ learning without direction and efficiency.The last,we should be open-minded,concentrate and meditation,and correct attitude towards learning,so that to establish persistent philosophy of study.
