摘 要:予夺不明动词构成的双宾结构在汉语中存在歧义,汉语母语者对这类歧义结构的意义倾向于理解为索取义,这与语言像似性原则相符。本文的研究发现:中高级汉语水平的英语母语者对这类歧义结构表现出给予义的理解倾向,其原因在于双宾结构在汉英两种语言中的句式语义有所不同。由于对行为的概念化方式不同,双宾结构在汉语中可以表示给予和索取两种意义,但是在英语中则仅表示给予义,这在很大程度上影响了英语母语者对汉语双宾结构语义的理解。There is ambiguity in Chinese giving-acquiring di-transitive constructions. Native Chinese speakers usually regard it as "acquiring" in their understanding of this construction, which is consist- ent with the principle of language iconicity. This study has found that native English speakers at the intermediate and advanced Chinese level usually regard it as "giving" in their understanding of this construction, because there are semantic differences in English and Chinese sentences. Due to the dif- ferent ways of conceptualization on the behavior, the di-transitive construction can express "giving" and "acquiring" in Chinese, but in English, it only has the meaning of "giving", which often leads to the misunderstanding of this construction by native English speakers.
