摘　　要：图书馆员是图书馆的一线工作人员,代表着图书馆的形象,也是高校学术活动的服务者,在我国高等教育与科技发展中举足轻重。阐述了传统图书馆员的形象,分析了新世纪图书馆员所面临的挑战及应具备的素质,论述了现代高校图书馆员的新时代形象。University librarian, who is the first-line worker of the library, represents the image of the library and serves the academic activities of university, playing an important role in the development of both higher education and science and technology in China. This paper expounds traditional image of librarian, analyzes the challenges faced by the librarian of new century and the qualities that the librarian of new century should have, and discusses the new image of modern university librarian in the new age.
