摘 要:本文依据新近搜集史料,从目的论视角重寻严复"信、达、雅"之"本意"。"信、达、雅"与"目的论"存在许多契合点。"达"即"达旨"是翻译之目的,是严复三字标准的核心概念,类似于目的法则,是最高准则。"信",并非全信于原著,而是取信于读者,与忠实法则类似。"雅"即可读性,类似于连贯法则,是服务于"达"的;"信"从属于"雅"。而"信"和"雅"均为译者为达到目的而使用的某种特殊翻译手段。In light of new historical materials, this paper reinterprets Yah Fu's translation criteria "xin, da, ya" from the perspective of Skopostheorie. It comes to the conclusion that people have somewhat distorted xin, da, ya. and the three--character criteria are in line with Skopostheorie which often draws the same or similar conclusions. Yan Fu's "da', in line with Skopos rule, is the core concept among the three characters and it refers to making the version be expressive in achieving Skopos; "xin" , in line with fidelity rule, means having genuineness for the reader as well as for the author in most aspect; "ya" , in line with coherence rule, is to make improvements to make the translation better.
