摘 要:新型人工电磁媒质具备自然界材料所不具备的一些电磁响应特性,因而成为当今科学研究的前沿.设计了一种新型温控THz宽带调频人工电磁媒质,在THz波段下其谐振频率能随温度实现连续可调.该人工电磁媒质由一系列金属SRR和置入SRR开口处的半导体InSb材料构成,通过改变温度可实现调频现象,调频范围宽达50%.温度的升高引起半导体材料载流子数目的增加,近而影响InSb的介电性质,从而实现谐振频率的移动.该温控宽带调频人工电磁媒质为太赫兹波段调频设备的实现提供了一定的借鉴意义.Media- materials are artificially structured materials that can possess exotic and intriguing properties that are not a- vailable in natural materials. In the paper, an active wideband terahertz media- materials via temperature control has been de- signed. The resonance frequencies of the media- material are illustrated to be tuned in the THz regime by altering the tempera- ture. The media - material constituted by an array of metallic SRRs with embedded semiconductor InSb can be tuned by changing the temperature. And a wideband tuning range more than 50% can be achieved. The tunability is attributed to the temperature - dependent permittivity of the InSb. The proposed designs offers great applications of broadband thermally frequency - agile tera- hertz devices.
