从菩提瑞像到毗卢遮那:信仰变迁与造像的重生

摘　　要：通过分析四川地区唐代的菩提瑞像和中晚唐至两宋时期的毗卢遮那造像及其所反映出来的两种信仰的发展状况,我们认为:广元千佛崖菩提瑞像窟和巴中南龛第103龛等两尊造像由菩提瑞像到毗卢遮那的变化,一方面反映了两种信仰的变迁和更替,另一方面,对于两尊名称发生变化的菩提瑞像来说,他们在毗卢遮那信仰兴起时代的装彩中获得了重生。信仰的变迁与造像的变化有时会有一定的时间差。In this paper,we analyze the Auspicious Bodhi images of Tang Dynasty in Sichuan area and the Vairocana images from middle and late Tang dynasty to the Song Dynasty,and we find that the Auspicious Bodhi image in the Thousand-Buddha-Grotto in Guangyuan changed to Vairocana image in Cave 103 of the South Bazhong Grotto.Analyzing the faith change as revealed in the statues,we think this change on the one hand reflects the transition of two different beliefs,and,on the other hand,these two Auspicious Bodhi images receive a rebirth with the rise of Vairocana faith.Sometimes,the faith changes do not synchronize the update of statues.
